What we do
Nepal Matters for America (NMA) is a Washington DC-based private initiative. And Caravanserai Project, a non-profit 501c3 is its fiduciary. NMA was created out of an understanding in the Capitol Hill, at Nepal Congressional Caucus . NMA is a group of experts working on international relations, and Nepal’s domestic and foreign policy as well as US-Nepal relations , and they all voluntarily contribute to NMA. It’s objective is to promote the relationship between America and Nepal. It encourages interaction among experts and provides information about diplomatic, economic, cultural and people-to-people relationship in order to help deepen the ties between the two countries and their people. The Initiative primarily makes policy recommendations independently to serve the national interests of America and Nepal. It does so by doing policy research, interactions and publications, and shares its recommendations to the relevant policy agencies and individuals in Washington and Kathmandu. The works done by the initiative will be posted on the NepalmattersforAmerica.org. The website is a platform to update our followers about current information on wide range of issue areas.
